We did a sunset cruise on Icarus as a couple We loved the boat - full of character and soul, and clearly loved and taken care of by Max and his family. We were able to lounge and swim near Cala Deià and enjoy the refreshments provided. The boat would be perfect for a larger group with loads of space on front to lounge Max was great at contact on Whatsapp, a wonderful captain and host! Four friends set sail on Icarus with Captain Maxime and his lovely wife Marta. The whole day was filled with sunshine, crystal clear water, delightful music, extraordinary views, and pinch me moments. To see the island from the water is a must! But it’s even better with a glass of champagne laying on the ships sun beds. Snorkeling in secret coves only accessible by boat with hundreds of fish, jumping off the bow of Icarus, and looking at the incredible mountains kept a smile on our face at all times. Captain Maxime was kind of enough to make a reservation at a wonderful restaurant on a patio cliff side over looking a beautiful cove and beach. The food was some of the best we had on our entire trip! The best part of the whole adventure was Maxime and his wife Marta. They are filled with kindness and warmth. It feels as if you’re sailing the ocean with family. The four of us feels so lucky to have found Icarus but even more fortunate to have made friends with Maxine and Marta. The sailboat is definitely different looking from most of the others, but it was phenomenal on board and Max took great care of us. Since it was just the 4 of us, including our 2 children, we were happy for his son to join us and they had a great time playing together, even if they didn't speak the same language. I couldn't recommend this enough. We had a boat cancel on us last minute and it turned out to be the best day ever. We had so much fun we decided to re-book for a second trip the same week. Captain Max was very responsive, personable, helpful and knowledgeable about all things sailing and Mallorca. He booked lunch reservations for us and lead us on the hikes in. He updated us and adjusted our schedule based on the water and weather conditions and made sure we had a perfect day each time. His boat is very spacious and was perfect for our group of three families including six kids. My wife & I booked this brilliant sailboat charter for the perfect day along the Mallorca coast. We originally had booked a speedboat to explore the island/swim but someone recommended the sailboat experience & Maxime (the captain/owner) - SO glad we did. The cruise was so relaxing and we got a real sense for the beauty of the island. We pulled up into dreamy swimming holes (clearest water we’ve ever seen), and did epic snorkeling, paddle boarding, and diving off the sailboat. (Pro tip: if you’re an adventure seeker - the iCarus sailboat has a pirates lookout about 20-30 feet up the sail pole with a platform to jump off. It was insanely fun - at your own risk :). If not, lots of other edges to dive off/jump in. The captain, Maxime (Max) was 12/10. Very friendly, knowledgeable about the island and was an incredible host. He also made us a reservations at a beachside restaurant that we sailed to (everyone there knew him and they gave us the best table when we walked in with him - worth a lot $$ if you ask me!). The boat had huge amounts of deck space and lounge areas - another advantage over a speedboat - we had so much room to relax, lay, nap and walk around. It was super enjoyable and comfortable. While it was just two of us - you could easily fit 8-10 and be comfortable.For anyone considering a boat day excursion in Mallorca - I’d really recommend/consider icarus with Max over a speedboat - we were so delightfully surprised.
